The NCR Planning Board proposes to conduct an in-depth study on counter- magnet   areas to Delhi and the National Capital Region. The objective of the study is to review the   counter-magnet area development strategy (including selection of counter-magnet   areas),as adopted/followed by the Board and, to suggest changes/evolve alternative   strategy for the purpose of making counter-magnet areas to play an effective role in   achieving the objectives of the Regional Plan 2021.

  The counter-magnet area development strategy should take into account the changing   growth dynamics in the country in terms of factors like labour mobility, migration,   investment patterns, economic structure, connectivity (communication, rail, road and air),   availability of infrastructure facilities and civic amenities etc. The consultants are required   to analyze the various factors such as nodality consideration, spatial consideration, size   and viability consideration, migration consideration etc. while evolving the counter-magnet   area development strategy (including selection of counter-magnet areas).

  Expression of Interest (EOI) is invited for the study on the above lines from Public Sector   Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies/Organizations and consulting firms/consortium that   have experience in the field of urban and regional planning and management with   expertise in conceptualization, configuration, structuring and implementation of integrated   urban and regional development programmes/projects.

The completed application,   accompanied by processing fee of Rs. 5000/- in the form of demand draft payable at New   Delhi in favour of 'NCR Planning Board' should reach latest by 11.8.2005 up to 3.30 pm.

  The proposals should be sent in sealed cover, with the following written on the envelope   'EOI - Consultancy Services for the Study on Counter-Magnet Areas for Delhi and NCR'   to Member Secretary, NCR Planning Board, 1st Floor, Core IV-B, India Habitat Centre,   Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.

  The Board reserves the sole right to accept or reject any or all proposals without   assigning any reason whatsoever.
