The project on developing a global city in Rajasthan sub-region of National Capital Region (NCR) (hereinafter referred to as the project) was first mooted by Government of Rajasthan (GoR) immediately after approval of Regional Plan for National Capital Region (NCR) – 2021. The idea is actively supported by National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) as it would help realizing “settlement development strategies of Regional Plan of National Capital Region (NCR) – 2021”.
